Leroy Williams was born January 28, 1964, in Chicago, IL. Leroy made his transition on Monday, September 15, 2025 @ 2:50pm at Northwest Hospital, with family by his side. His father, Willie Lee Williams and mother, Marylean Williams, proceeded him death. Leroy attended Howland Elementary School and Collins and Harrison High School.
Brother Leroy was a faithful employer at various jobs as a security guard, until his illness preventing him from working full time, but Leroy was known for his hard work, timeliness and good attitude throughout his employment opportunities.
Leroy confessed his hope in Christ at an early age, and in his adulthood joined Corinthian Temple Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Bennie Allison. Bishop Bennie Allison was a strong influence and mentor to Brother Leroy, until Bishop Allison made his transition. Brother Leroy commitment to Christ and faithfulness to Church continued under the leadership of Bishop Allison’s successor and grandson, Bishop David Todd Whittley. Under Bishop Whittley leadership, Brother Leroy served on the Men’s Alliance and Usher Board and volunteered at the Church community food pantry. Brother Leroy was a faithful member of the Church and was known for his joyful praise and dance during the worship services.
Brother Leroy was loved by his family, friends and Church. He had a personality like no other, and was known for his laughter, kindhearted spirit, and love for quoting scriptures.
Brother Leroy leaves to cherish his memories one son, Leroy Williams, Jr, one brother Tyrone Puckett, Aunt, MiilicentHill, Uncle, Michael Hill, special cousins Bernard Gilmore, Ronald Gilmore, Cambiria Gilmore, Selena Gilmore, and Victory Hampton,, Jr. and a host of family and friends
Brother Leroy Williams well done, you fought a good fight, kept the faith, and endured till the end.
