On May 13, 1999, Mashay Larreisha Miller was welcomed to the world by her wonderful
parents Michol Douglas and Larry Miller Jr.
She was a very special kid who accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was baptized at
Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church
Mashay attended Phillips High School where she played basketball and made many long-time
friends but later graduated from Progressive Leadership Academy.
Mashay was full of life and always the star of the party. Her positive energy was magnetic and
drew her close to those around her. She loved to dance, sing and even tried to be a rapper
once. She was very hardworking and kept a job. Mashay was always trying to “get money”
she’d say to fund her passion for fashion and shoes She loved getting dressed, and stayed “fly”
Mashay was also very outspoken and didn’t play about her mom, siblings, or any of her family.
She cared about everyone and was always giving a huge smile and hug whenever she was
around. She was a beautiful person inside and out, and to know her was to love her
On February 5, 2025 Mashay was tragically called home to be with her father. The news took
our world by storm, it was a time when it felt as if time had just stood still. Her departure from
this life still has everyone wishing her death was a really bad dream.
Mashay was preceded in death by her father Larry Miller Jr, maternal grandad Willie Terry,
paternal grandmother Nancy Fletcher, and Stepdad Maurlon Hughes
She leaves to cherish and celebrate her most amazing memories her loving mother Michol
Douglas,2 sisters; Monae and Meleah, 3 brothers; Larry, Lamarion, and Cayrie. Grandmother
Chana, Grandfather Larry Sr, 4 aunts Cora, Tenica, Dominique, and Mikal. 6 Uncles Willie,
Deshawn, Keith, Bernard, Vincent, and Jamarcus, her Special favorite Cousin Maurice, and a
host of other family and friends who all love and miss her deeply.
